Akwa Ibom born Engineer, Janet Akpan shines in Canada as she features on the popular Canadian Television’s Marilyn Denis Show.

Miss Janet flew the Akwa Ibom flag high when she appeared on the Marilyn Denis Show, a Canadian daytime television talk show which debuted on January 10, 2011 on CTV and CTV 2 (formerly A-Channel). Hosted by Marilyn Denis, it airs weekdays at 10 a.m. on CTV and 11 a.m. ET on CTV 2 .

The show has a lifestyle-oriented format and regularly features celebrity entertainment and high profile guests who have achieved feats in their chosen field of endeavour.

The featured engineers on the episode, Danny from Mexico and Janet from Nigeria were selected as two incredible women who stand out for all the right reasons. In April 2019, Marilyn featured Akwa Ibom born engineer, Janet Akpan alongside other outstanding personalities in Toronto.

Filled with the Dakkada spirit, Mkpat Enin born Janet has a reputation in the Science and Technology nobility. She is a Bachelor and Masters Degree holder in Geomatics Engineering from University of Lagos, in Lagos, Nigeria and University of New Brunswick, in New Brunswick, Canada respectively.

Janet is member of the Society of Women Engineers Worldwide, as part of her social work, she founded YNOT_IN_NAIJA (Youth Now On Track In Nigeria) a registered non-profit organization in Canada, she is currently researching at the Lassonde School of Engineering in York University, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
